Description:

Free Arts, located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, is a non-profit that supports under privileged and abused youth by training and supplying arts to be brought out to the local community.  Venn was brought in very early on to assist Point B Developments, Studio MA Architecture and Free Arts to give this amazing organization a more functional and refreshed home in their 1980’s building.  Due to early inclusion, Venn understood that all support to offset cost would be a direct benefit to the community and the service offering of Free Arts.  With that in mind, our teams went to work to procure materials by donation and to aggressively negotiate with our subcontractors to provide any savings available to pass through to our client.  This renovation took place in a fully occupied space and we overcame many challenges due to historic fire damage, enclosing an open air courtyard and updating the fire sprinklers to bring them to modern code standards.  The teamwork and collaboration by all parties to complete this project that will continue to support our local community is of great pride to Venn.
